2025 Family-Linked Refugee Sponsorship – EOI Now Closed
Thank you to everyone who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for family-linked refugee sponsorships for 2025.
We received over 1,000 responses from community members eager to support their relatives through private sponsorship.
Important Updates:
Changes from IRCC:
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has:
Reduced SAH spaces by 20%
Paused applications from both Group of Five and Community Sponsors
These changes have impacted the number of applications that can be processed this year.
Selection Process:
Hospitality House will use a lottery system to randomly select co-sponsors from the EOI submissions.
Only those selected through the lottery will be contacted.
Next Steps for Selected Co-Sponsors:
Selected individuals will be invited to attend an information session led by a trainer from the
Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP).
